Congratulations to Jared Brock for being recognized by the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame as the co-outstanding football player for the West Texas A&M University football team during the 2006 season.
Thank you to the families who helped Stuff the Buffs last Wednesday: the Bradshaws, Hacketts, Burgoons, Partains, Renners, Bighams, Trisha Burns, Ann Lee Collier, and the Culberts. It was all the chili, stew and cornbread we could eat. Thanks to all of you for the great meal!
Campus Encounter in Stillwater is next weekend. The cost is just $45, plus enough money for a couple meals on the road. If you still need to pay, the last day is this Thursday, February 14. Also, let Tim know if you are going on an early or late van.
This Wednesday is Willson Lectures. It’s in the Alumni Banquet Hall (right next to the caf) at 7:45 pm. This year we have Chris Seay from Houston. Chris is an outstanding, entertaining, and challenging speaker and will speak on the importance of Christian service. Among many others, he has written the books, “The Gospel Reloaded” and “The Gospel According to Tony Soprano.” There will also be music and food, and opportunities for you to talk to organizations about volunteering. We will meet here at the church at 7 pm, and after the devotional we can all go over there together. Don’t miss this!
We are going to Wheeler on Sunday, February 10 and Tyler Martin will be doing the preaching.
We want to thank Dave and Dee Ann Hutson for hosting our Super Bowl party. We appreciate their willingness to open their home to us, feed us, and let us hang out for the game! It starts at 5 p.m. and they live at 26 Tiffany, close to Crestview Elementary.
Stuff the Buffs is this Wednesday, February 6, at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Bradshaw/Hackett Life Group will be providing the meal, so invite a friend! After the meal, Bob will continue leading the study of the book of Romans.

The girls in the college ministry have started a book club at lunch on Tuesdays. Our first book is A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers. This week we will be discussing the first three chapters. If you need a book, see Aime.

Today several of the college students are in Tulia. Luke Jones is preaching, and during class time Bob is going to do a presentation about what is going on with the Buffs for Christ Ministry and talk about the Bible Chair renovation project.
There is no college class today since so many of us will be in Tulia. All adult classes are meeting in the auditorium for Jeff Reid’s report from India. Starting next week the college class will be meeting in the FAC until the renovation project at the Bible Chair is completed.
Our semester has started off well! We had about 40 at our catacomb devo last Monday night at Hill Chapel, and about 40 at Stuff the Buffs. Our Bible studies started last week as well. It’s been a challenge to keep what we can on campus! Guys bible study is Thursdays at 7:45 pm downstairs in the JBK, and the girls will meet upstairs at Buffalo Courts at 9 pm. We ask that you be careful where you park, especially if you do not have a permit.
Welcome back, WT Students! As you probably know by now, the Bible Chair building is under renovation, and we will not be able to meet there. But we will still be meeting! This morning, college students meet at Bob and Linda Shepard’s house for class. And tonight after church we will be back at Bob and Linda’s for supper and a very important meeting about the upcoming semester. If you’re a college student, please be there!
Our Monday devotionals will be at Hill Chapel at 9 pm, and that starts tomorrow night. Wednesday nights we will meet in the Fellowship Hall at church at 7 pm.
This Wednesday we will have our first Stuff the Buffs of the semester. Meet at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
